James Hardy is the CEO and a founder of Gahaga Biosciences, Inc. located in Frederick, Maryland. Gahaga Biosciences was established in 2006 to commercialize a proprietary method for the isolation of stem cells from placental and umbilical tissues to be used in basic research.

Prior to his involvement in Gahaga Biosciences, Mr. Hardy accrued over 20 years of experience in biosciences and industry, most recently as the Director of Operations with In Vitro Technologies of Catonsville, Maryland. Prior to working at In Vitro, he worked for nearly 14 years at Life Technologies, holding leadership roles in the Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Enzymes, Packaging, Receiving and Engineering groups. He has substantial knowledge of human hepatocytes and other primary cells, media formulations, protein purification as well as international sales & distribution by opening In Vitro Technologies, GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary established in Leipzig, Germany.
