Stem cells are valued as a potential source of a range of types of tissue. Many scientists say embryonic stem cells are generally more versatile than adult cells, although they continue to explore the possibilities of adult stem cells. Gahaga scientists provide consulting, subcontract, and training services to companies exploring the use of stem cells in therapeutic applications with improved, proprietary methods for obtaining multipotent stem cells without destroying human embryos. An advantage of Gahaga Biosciences' proprietary method is the extraction of up to five times as many stem cells from a placenta or umbilical cord than has been achieved by most current protocols.

Gahaga is also available to consult on quality and process efficiency attributes of Cell Culture facilities, writing SOPs for cGMP compliance and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
